Ghazni Art Camp 2023: A Cross-Border Celebration of Art and Culture
Sherpur, Bangladesh – The Ghazni Art Camp 2023, an extraordinary cross-border art initiative, is set to take place in Jhenaigati, Sherpur, near the Bangladesh-India border. This prestigious event, curated by artist Md. Imran Hossen and organized by the NSG Artists Group, will bring together distinguished artists and emerging talents to foster creativity, collaboration, and artistic expression.
The Ghazni Recreation Center, the venue for the event, is a renowned tourist destination spanning 90 acres at the foothills of the Garo Hills, bordering the Indian state of Meghalaya. Established in 1993 by the Sherpur District Administration, it has become a major attraction in the greater Mymensingh region and northern Bangladesh, offering a picturesque and inspiring setting for artists.
Distinguished Guests and Coordinators
The art camp will be coordinated by Artist Nazmul Haque and Artist Sumon Chandra Das (Kuasha Bindu). The Chief Guest of the event will be Mr. Abdullah Al Khairum, Deputy Commissioner of Sherpur District, while Mr. Md. Khorsed Alam, Additional Superintendent of Police, Sherpur District, will grace the occasion as a Special Guest. The opening program will be chaired by Mr. Md. Abdullaah Al Mahmud Bhuiya, UNO of Jhenaigati, Sherpur.
